We’re looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and committed post-graduate students at either the University of Sussex or Brighton University to help us plan, organise, promote and run NGender events in the 2014/2015 academic year.
In 2013/2014 NGender was bigger than ever, running our first ever conference and hosting papers by researchers from across the country. As it enters its 6th year at Sussex, we want to keep building on those successes – can you help us do that?
Helping us run NGender can mean a commitment of as little an hour a week but can offer you so much in return – you will meet researchers in gender and sexuality from across the university and the country, build links with faculty, and get great CV skills including event planning and budget management.
If you’d like to find out more, or are ready to volunteer, please email us at email@example.com and include ‘FAO Gemma Cobb’ in your subject line.
Perhaps you’d like to support NGender but are not located in Brighton – either being away for field work or a distance learner. No problem! We always welcome blog posts from gender and sexuality researchers which can be as simple as an update on your research findings so far, opinion pieces in response to current affairs, or more formal conference/journal style papers. You can find more information on how to submit a blog article to us, here and you can see previous blog posts by clicking on ‘blog’ from the menu above, or by clicking here.
